The Department of Psychology, Play Therapy & Social Work and ‘Psychological and Psychosocial Research Unit’ is a part of The Juliane Marie Centre, Copenhagen University Hospital, Rigshospitalet, Denmark. In the ‘Psychological and Psychosocial Research Unit’ pt. 11 academic psychologists and 3 social researchers are employed under the head of Svend Aage Madsen. This unit has produced several research theses and developmental guidelines especially concerning men and fatherhood as well as it has arranged several conferences with international lecturers and participants.
Since 1995, Copenhagen University Hospital has been an integrated part of the Copenhagen Hospital Corporation and is responsible for many functions and service complexes in the hospital and health care system for the entire country.
