The Institute for the Equality of Women and Men, Belgium has launched four initiatives:

  1. A leaflet to promote the new paid paternity leave in French, Dutch, English, and German. The leaflet has been distribued by local authorities, maternity clinics and hospitals, NGO's etc.
  2. An awareness raising campaign to public and private employers and trade unions.
  3. A survey about the implementation of the Belgian law on paternity leave in the public sector, especially with local authorities.
  4. A campaign aimed at decision makers at municipal and provincial level.
